Welcome everyone,

      We are Carol and Richard Manuputy, an artist/designer team based in Los Osos on the Central Coast of California.

      We met in 1986 and began working together as artists. After getting married in 1988 we founded Peaceful Planet Images, Inc. Initially our company created designs for clothing and interiors but in 1995 we branched out and added mural painting to our repertoire. In 2002 we began working in ceramics creating custom tile/mural/faux finish designs and various other ceramic applications.

       We enjoy working together on team projects and also with other artists. Our most successful and fun designs often come from collaborative efforts

       Carol was born in Rochester, New York and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Applied Art & Design from California State University at San Luis Obispo. She has been involved in some form of art since the 1970's. She is currently working with the San Luis Obispo Art Center. She also enjoys teaching art in both public and private schools as well as in the Peaceful Planet Art Studio at our home.

       Richard was born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a degree in Interior Design. He is also a devoted practitioner (since 1975) and student of the ancient discipline of Yoga and currently has a full schedule teaching Hatha Yoga classes in the local area.

       Today we reside in Los Osos, at the foot of the spectacular Montana de Oro State Park on the central coast of California with our two young budding artist sons Ethan and Isaac.

       This website represents a variety of projects in different styles and media over a number of years since the founding of our company.

       We will be adding to it throughout the months. So please come back  and visit often.
